Hiring A Photographer For Your Child

By Stacey Burt

It is time for your child to graduate from high school but there is one task that has not yet been completed. Senior pictures must be taken by a Green Bar WI photographer and soon so your friends and family will be able to receive striking photos of your child along with her graduation announcement. Select a photography professional who will be able to envision exactly what you want for your teen.

Ask your child to select several outfits for the shoot and assist her if she needs help in choosing the most flattering styles. Select both casual and formal wear for the portfolio. Don't forget matching shoes if full-length shots are to be taken. Accent pieces such as hair items and assorted jewelry can all be included. She may want to have her hair styled so the more formal shooting can take place first and then she can relax the style and allow it to go back to its natural state for the casual photos.

Don't forget to bring special props for extra impact. Choose the items that reflect her tastes and interests. If she is in choir or band, a musical instrument or note can be added to the shoot. Have her change into the uniform of her distinct sporting groups such as basketball, soccer, track or swimming. If she is a cheerleader, all the tools of her trade such as the megaphones and pom-poms should be included.

Bring along an individual who can assist with makeup. This will help hide flaws and bring out the very best features of your teenager. She will feel much more attractive and confident and the final proofs will show it.

You want the photos to be as natural as possible so it is important to convey this to the photographer. Give this professional some background as to your daughter's personality and interests so he will have a good idea of what photos will highlight her in the most positive manner. Ask him to take a few black and white and sepia photos for special effect.

Your teen's personality and charisma should shine through on these once-in-a-lifetime photos. The family will have a record of her high school years on hand that can be pulled out and reviewed often. Special frames can be purchased so the photos can be displayed around the living areas of the home.

Ask the photographer to take unexpected and unplanned shots of your graduating student. Sometimes it is these poses that are the most authentic and the most appealing.

Be sure to give some local color to the photos the professional takes. This state is famous for its natural beauty and white winters so it is important to incorporate some of this scenery into the photos if possible. This will depend on the time of year that the pictures are taken. School colors can also be used for the backgrounds of formal photographs.

The last year of high school is so very important and this is why taking these photos is so appropriate. Be sure the photographer takes great care in taking the photos to produce a record of your teen's history that can be viewed for many years to come.
