Sometimes, we did not notice that we already abused our gadgets and the first damage that we usually notice is its battery. Because we have damaged it, maybe it would be hard for us to look for a new one and maybe it would lead us buying a new gadget. Thus, this process will not only fuss us but it also costs us a big sum of money as it becomes a necessity.

Maybe one of the gadget that we are talking about is your laptop. Today, laptops have already become a necessity to the students and even to the office workers. With this, they know that its heart is the battery. We know that laptop batteries are considered as hard to find batteries especially if we buy a unique unit of a brand. So for us to keep it functional for a long span of time, here are tips on how to good care of it.

Remove the charger after the battery has been completely charged. Leaving a fully charged one still plugged in charging could overheat it and thus shortening its lifespan. This is the reason that you must not sleep or even forget that you are charging your laptop or any other devices as this can also start a fire and may burn down your house.

Refrain from always charging your battery unless if it is really necessary. It can only handle limited number of hours to be charged and if you exceed you may damage it from your plugging and unplugging. The best solution to prolong its life is to avoid unnecessary charges.

All laptops have power storage plans and you may use it to help your laptop run at its peak performance. As most people use Windows program, they can either choose from the Power Saver option or the Balance option. Both options decreases the speed and the brightness of the computer, as you use it.

Never place your laptop on top of the sofa, bed, pillow, or any other cushioned materials because the conditioning quality of the gadget could not function properly. Instead, place it on top of hard surfaced materials like the floor, chair, or table. If you do not want to buy the same but new device, might as well follow this.

There are times we could feel inactive in a day but we still need to work and with this, we may be too tired to shut down our computer. If this is the case, we can always put it in a sleep mode for minimal energy usage. You could also hibernate it so that it could rest as you are resting.

Always place your device in a cool area. Temperature often greatly influences the batteries and if placed in a heavy heated area it could overheat. You may put it somewhere like your closet or cupboard or place it to where other people in the house usually opens the air conditioning or the electric fan.

Now that you already know these things, you may start following these to keep it alive for a longer time. If you do not like to always look for an outlet when you use the device, always take care of the battery. Also, you will not have to buy a new one and worry as to where to find one in the market.
